On August 4, 2022, Chinese Consul General in Penang Mr. Lu Shiwei led a delegation to inspect XSD International Paper Sdn Bhd, in Padang Serai, Kedah to learn about its production and operation, and make a safety inspection.
Consul General Mr. Lu Shiwei listened to the company introduction provided by the related persons in charge, regarding the enterprise’s development plan and Malaysia-related projects, and affirmed the company’s experiences and practices in the safety production, epidemic prevention and control, and the management of overseas assignment of Chinese employees of the enterprise. He especially mentioned that XSD International Paper Sdn Bhd provided active support to the locals during the early breakout of COVID-19 pandemic by donating a lot of face masks to Kedah and Penang. Such benevolence set an example to other Chinese enterprises in the consular district. Consul General Mr. Lu Shiwei recognizes the efforts made by XSD International Paper Sdn Bhd to combine its own development with the implementation of the “go global” strategy and the “Belt and Road” Initiative, carry forward the pioneering spirit and work hard, overcome the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic, successfully implement its project in Malaysia and realize steady development, and make positive contributions in promoting the local pragmatic cooperation between China and Malaysia. Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Penang will continue to provide support and assistance for the development of Chinese enterprises, and provide consular protection and services for the Chinese citizens.
